Admittance Procedure
As with all pre-school and nursery groups, we are required, by law, to have an admittance procedure that is both consistent and fair. With this in mind, the Parochial Church Council have agreed the following criteria is to be followed when admitting children into chadderkidz.
Order Of Priority
- Children who are eligible for a 3 or 4 year funded placement and: a) live within the parish boundary of Saint Chad's, Chadwell Heath; b) live outside the parish boundary of Saint Chad's, Chadwell Heath.
- Children whose referral is supported by an outside agency or professional body.
- Children whose parent/carer is a regular attender at Saint Chad's Anglican Church(by this we mean about twice a month).
- Date of registration.
- The co-ordinator will make the final decision, especially taking into consideration the overall balance of the pre-school group.
- When a place becomes available, all those of eligible age on the waiting list will be considered - according to the ‘Order of Priority’ above.
- The co-ordinator will contact the parent/carer, by post or telephone, offering their child a place.
- A starting date for the child will be provided and agreed upon.
- An opportunity will be given to the parent/carer to view our facilities and meet the staff, prior to the starting date.
- Parents should be aware that admittance to chadderkidz does not give their child any preference when applying to Saint Edward’s Primary School (or other Church of England school). Only regular attendance at Saint Chad’s (or other Christian church) will count towards your application.
